University Place has been around since the shopping mall glory days of the ’70s. But times change, and so do communities. Ram Realty is transforming the old mall into a modern town center with residences, shops, restaurants, and green space. Our job was to give it a brand that could keep up.
We built a bold new identity that trades nostalgia for momentum. Bright colors, custom icons, and a logo with real vertical lift tell the story of a place on the rise.
On the ground, we extended the system into wayfinding and signage so visitors can actually find what they came for, and maybe discover something new while they’re at it.
The new mark does the heavy lifting: a signal that University Place is growing up, moving higher, and shaping itself into Chapel Hill’s next big hub.
